Message from Our New Chair
I am looking forward to building on the strong foundations established by the committee last year, providing a supportive and inclusive community for AFOLs. I recognise that our membership engages with LEGO® in different ways and I am keen to ensure that all feel a valued part of our club. After our AGM in May, it’s clear a big area of focus going forward is to review and better communicate our mission in Tartan LUG – we do so many cool things!

I’ve been a member of Tartan LUG for 9 years and am so proud of what we achieve as a community. I enjoy volunteering at Lego shows. My favourite LEGO theme is easily Classic Space, having originally collected it when I was a kid. That said, current modern sets I love include Rivendell, Nintendo Gameboy and The Great Wave.

I’m all about the dragons when it comes to LEGO. I can get lost for hours building them then displaying them in the house and at shows. I love the structure of a set over M.O.Cs.

I’ve been a LEGO fan my entire life, with some of my favourite themes over the years being Star Wars and BIONICLE. I’ve also started designing and displaying my own MOCs, usually either based on something I’m into at the time, or something completely original!

I’m a big fan of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure stories, so love to create MOCs on these themes. I’m a slow MOC builder, though (partly because I’m an even slower parts-sorter!), and also love sets – the weirder and more creative the better!
