Edinburgh Store

If you’ve taken a stroll through the LEGO Store Edinburgh recently, you’ve likely stopped to marvel at the community showcase window. It is one of the best spots in the shop, highlighting the unbelievable talent of local Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) from Tartan LUG.

The Outgoing Build: Dom Anderson’s Tokyo

For the past few months, shoppers have been treated to Dom Anderson’s Tokyo, a masterclass in microscale architecture where Dom managed to capture the frantic, beautiful energy of Japan’s capital.

It’s always bittersweet to see a great build packed down, but Dom’s creation certainly left a lasting impression on everyone who saw it. You may even get to see it at the Taybrick Show in Dundee in August.

The Incoming Build: Chris Wakeling’s Megafauna Patrol

Prepare yourselves, because the incoming display is massive, imaginative, and wonderfully wild. Say hello to Chris Wakeling’s Megafauna Patrol!

Chris has constructed a spectacular sci-fi/nature mashup that looks part futuristic expedition, part prehistoric safari. Featuring sprawling terrain, mechanical units, and gargantuan brick-built beasts, it perfectly showcases what Tartan LUG members do best: taking a wild concept and turning it into a jaw-dropping reality. The sheer scale and storytelling packed into this display case are not to be missed.
