AGM 2026
Saturday 30th May – Perth, Scotland
What a day! The Annual General Meeting is always a highlight of our calendar, but this year’s gathering was particularly special. From changing of the guard to massive slices of cake to meeting Flora.
First and foremost, a massive thank you goes out to our committees – both the outgoing members who have dedicated so much time and energy to keeping our community thriving and the incoming team stepping up to take the reins.
The official handover of committees was handled with the utmost grace and seriousness… mostly defined by swapping of seating arrangements at the committee table during the AGM and the outgoing and incoming Chairs cutting the cake at the afterparty!
The new committee for 2026 are:
– Peter Douglas, Chair (elected)
– Charli Dobie, Secretary
– Kate Stevenson, Treasurer (re-elected)
– Karen Grayburn, LUG Ambassador
– Nathan McLeary, Membership Officer (elected)
– Chris Rae, Publicity Officer
– Fraser Dallachy, Quartermaster (re-elected to a new role)
Once the members’ only formalities of the AGM are over, it is party-time. Fantastic to catch up with people, talk shop, and trade elements. Half the joy of the AGM is hearing what everyone is working on.
However the highlight of the day was meeting the award-winning Flora for the first time. What a beautiful build and without a doubt it is going to be a popular GWP when it arrives. Massive congratulations again to Stewart Cromar, the King of the Highland Hike.
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM online, travelled to Perth, baked, and contributed to making the day so wonderful. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead of celebrating our love for the brick!
A shout-out to all those who sent their apologies too!
